Dr. David Sudbrink & Dr. Lindsey Marrotte-Sudbrink


Doctors David and Lindsey graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.  They met at the University and moved to the Black Hills in 2013.  Dr. Dave started working at Salt Creek Vet Clinic with Doc Pete in July of 2013 and he has enjoyed the opportunity to live and work in Newcastle.  Dr. Lindsey works as a veterinarian in Rapid City and helps at Salt Creek Vet Clinic on Wednesdays.  They have three dogs, a cat, a horse, and a cow.


In the fall of 2014, Dave and Lindsey officially took the reigns as Doc Pete retired to his ranch.  They are looking forward to taking Doc Pete's legacy into the next generation.

Klacy McLaughlin

Klacy was raised in the Black Hills and just graduated from North American University in 2015 as a certified veterinary technician.  Klacy has two dogs, a cat, ducks and chickens.  Klacy has been with Salt Creek Vet Clinic since June 2014.


Cassie Frensko

Cassie is a certified equine massage therapist.  She is originally from Western Wyoming, but calls Newcastle home.  Cassie has two dogs, a cat, and several horses.  Cassie has been with Salt Creek Vet Clinic since April 2015.


Brenda Chord
Brenda was raised in the Black Hills and has a degree in psychology.  She grew up on a ranch where her family raises Quarter Horses.  Brenda has been with Salt Creek Vet Clinic since September 2014.


Christy Achterhoff
Christy has many years of experience on ranches and with horses as well as several years of experience as a veterinary technician at a clinic in Gillette.  Christy has been with Salt Creek Vet Clinic since February 2015.

The new owners of Salt Creek Veterinary Clinic, Dr. David Sudbrink and Dr. Lindsey Marrotte Sudbrink, continue Doc Pete’s 42-year legacy of compassionate veterinary care for Weston Country and the Black Hills region.  They are excited to announce they are now offering new services to meet all your animal health needs.

Salt Creek Veterinary Clinic takes pride in their ability to provide full service care for both small animal, equine and herd health including health certificates, equine dental procedures, artificial insemination, vaccinations, pregnancy checking, fertility testing, c-sections, digital x-ray, and advanced diagnostic testing.

They offer a variety of preventative small animal services that range from vaccinations and routine wellness care to diagnostic testing.  They now offer routine surgical procedures, digital x-ray, dental care using new dental equipment, in-house bloodwork and even orthopedic surgery options.
